Resole.com is Awesome!

I have had a pair of boots for over a decade now. Not just any boots... a pair of orginal Italian made Vasque Sundowners with Skywalk soles... The best boots ever made!

Since owning these boots I have also owned others. These have outlasted two pairs of expensive Raichle leather boots and several other pairs of trail shoes.

These Italian made Sundowners have been my everyday winter boots, work boots and hiking/backpacking boots for years now. They have seen all kinds of use and abuse. They have been all over the United States as well as many other countries around the world. I've taken these boots down into Havasupai Falls in the bottom of the Grand Canyon and all the way up to the Atletsch Glacier and across the Eiger in Switzerland.

The leather is worn and tattered and the boots look like they've been around for ages. Even still, the structural integrity of the boot is solid. The toe box is firm as well as the main supports through the bottom of the boots.

The condition of these boots, so many years after being built, is what makes them the best boot ever made. I've never had another shoe that was as durable.

Over time the soles have slowly been worn down. I wondered what I was going to do as I love these boots so much.

I found resole.com online. This company has a good reputation, the process is easy, the turn around is very quick and they use Skywalk soles.

I now have my boots back and they feel like they have new life. As you can see in the photos I had worn quite a bit of sole through my daily tasks as well as adventures. The shoes feel great and the new soles are awesome. I can't wait to get these back up into the high Unitahs this summer.

I am pleased with resole.com's service and recommend them to anyone who has a pair of shoes that they love.

Happy Birthday Anna!!

My little munchkin turned 4 today. She woke up to a bedroom filled with balloons and streamers! She had to find her gifts that were hidden around the house, then she got to open them. This year she she got new ski's, jacket, ski pants, helmet and goggles. Of course the little stinker wouldn't let me take any pictures of her. Hopefully we can get a few when she's up on the mountain tearing it up!
On the Thursday before her birthday we had a little party with some of the girls from her pre-school and playgroup. I picked them all up from school and we opened presents and ate pizza.
We piled in the car, made some funny faces and went to see the movie Tangled. Unfortunately, our car is not big enough to fit all the kids so Mylee and Ingrid caught a ride with Emily, so they are missing from a few pics.

Leila, McKayla, Brooklyn, Anna & Annie...once again being crazy!

Disney Land

The car is packed and we are on our way to Disney Land!!!

Minnie's house
Anna's first ride at Disney Land
Teacups

Grandma Kathy
Toy Story 3

Anna is mesmerized by the parade on main street. She is waiving to all the characters.
Grandpa had been giving her money for her Disneyland trip. This is one of the things she bought with her own money. The other thing she bought was a stuffed Minne doll.
Ariel's Grotto...
Anna had heard of Ariel's Grotto from her friends who had gone to Disneyland. She wanted to go so bad. I never did call to make a reservation because it said you could do it when you got there. Well I waited and it was sold out. I felt so bad, I started to cry because I knew Anna had been looking forward to it, and I dropped the ball. Mother of the year. Well I kept going in and asking if anyone had cancelled or if they forgot about a table, anything. I guess we got lucky, they decided to open up the balcony and had a few extra tables. Only the girls went to the lunch. A fun date with Anna, Mom and Grandma. Anna loved it.
Exhausted after the 1st day of Disneyland
It's a Small World...
We finally went to Disney Land. We had so much fun, we want to go back. Grandma and Grandpa Moyes came with us. We went to Disneyland for 3 days, then drove to see Uncle John and Aunt Elaina for a few days and down to Sea World and the beach. We had a great vacation!

She Can Ride

Anna decided that it was time to ride her bike sans training wheels. She surprised us both by catching on SO fast. Within the first minute, she was riding the length of a house.

Day 2 of learning went so good as well. She caught on so fast and was cruising up and down the street. At first, she'd go for just a minute then you could tell that she was making herself fall in order to stop. Then we gave her a goal to ride 4 houses down...and she did it just fine. She is still working on trying to get going by herself. She's done it a few times, but likes to ask for help.
Ezra was doing some important business while Anna was riding.
(Hopefully, finding someone to help his mom.)

Anna had to go down and show Leila that she could ride her bike without training wheels too.

Star Valley

Over Labor Day weekend, we went with some friends, the Fauver's, up to a cabin in Star Valley. We spent 3 nights up there 4-wheeling and playing in the dirt.

Thank goodness for dvd players and headphones. It makes traveling so much more pleasant for everyone!
We 4-wheeled, Leila didn't want her picture taken. :)

Anna thought it was hilarious to cover Shaun's eyes so he couldn't see hiking down the trail.

Out front of the cabin. Anna didn't want to be in the picture. The only way she would be, was if she could stand down below.

We hiked

The girls...Leila was behind Brian, she didn't want her picture taken. And Anna below, wouldn't look at the camera, because she didn't want her picture taken. Happy girls!

Sunday afternoon, Shaun Anna & I drove up to Jackson Hole.
We stopped and watched the river rafters on the Big Kahuna
