A couple nights ago we got some KFC and went to the park with some friends. By the time we got there it was already getting dark. I am sad that fall is just around the corner and our days are getting shorter.

We bought this dress for Anna when we went on our cruise back in May. I had totally forgotten about it until today, I thought it looked pretty cute on her so I took a few pictures.

The end of summer softball

Shaun played on a 16 weeks summer softball team which finally came to an end. In 2 weeks they start fall ball. With 4 wins this season they are ranked somewhere near the bottom! That's okay, we still love to come watch and support our loosing team. At least we are all having fun! They did however have the biggest cheering section at all the games. I believe Shaun was the only one this year to hit a GRAND SLAM!! Way to go!! Let's win some games in fall ball :)

Lagoon

I haven't been to lagoon for at least 10-12 years now, so this summer I put it on the top of my list of things to do. I love amusement parks, I know lagoon is not anything great when it comes to amusement parks but at least I got my fix. he last amusement park we went to was Cedar Point in Ohio 2 years ago. Lucky me, I got to watch everyone else enjoy the rides, I was 5 months pregnant.

We bought a pass for Anna hoping that she would be brave and enjoy the rides, she wasn't!! Shaun took her on the Octopus and she cried and wanted off the whole time. $22 for one ride, ouch! You can't even see her in this picture, she is next to Shaun, behind Ryder and my Dad.

Thanks to Loni, Toni & Eliza we were able to ride some of the bigger rides while Anna ate cotton candy and watched Ryder and Sawyer have fun!

Anna did like the Merry-go-Round so she rode that a few times with Grandpa. She has him wraped around her finger!!

Dinner up Millcreek Canyon

We met some friends up Millcreek Canyon for tin foil dinners and banana boats last weekend. It was nice to escape the heat and enjoy good company and a change of scenery.

MmM...BaNaNa BoAtS!!!

She had us make her a bed next to the Zeus the dog after we put her in her pajamas. Most of the time Zeus was sharing the blanket with her. When we got home her "blanket" (not this one) was black from being drug around in the dirt all night and sharing it with the dog. I tried to put her to bed without it but there was no way she was going to let it go. As soon as she fell asleep, around 12:30 a.m. I took it and threw it in the wash and she had it back by morning.

Park City Bike Ride

Last wednesday we went up to Park City and rode the Wanship bike trail with Shaun's parents and their ward. We were told that it was a 6 mile bike ride, it turned out to be 13.2 miles. But that was okay, we had a great time. It is a dirt trail and is totally flat the whole way. Anna has a bike seat that goes in front of Shaun, she loves her bike rides with dad.

Shaun had to take the car to our ending place so we didn't have to ride back 13 miles. It took him a good hour to do so. Anna sat in the dirt and played patiently for the first 30 mins then she was ready to go.

We ended up at the Spring Chicken Inn, we had already placed our order earlier that week since such a large group of us were going. The food was great!!

Summer Days

We always love our play dates when it involves water. Anna has so much fun swimming with other kids, and I have so much fun watching her. She is not afraid of going under and loves to blow bubbles. We've been over to Marissa's several times this summer to play in their blow up pool, it's nice and big so the mom's can get in too. She has a warm water hose so the water is comfortable to play in.

I choose the octopus...

That is what Shaun was saying when i climbed into bed last night. I love it!! I just got into bed and started laughing. Then I thought I should take a picture of him and the 6 pillows that he sleeps with every night. He complains of not getting a good night sleep, I wonder why. Every time he rolls over all the pillows go with him. Good thing we have a king bed so there is still room for me!

A few nights before he woke me up by calling my name over and over. As soon as I said what, he said how about you come lay down next to me. I told him I had been sleeping next to him for a couple of hours already. So he said good then rolled over and that was the end of that. The best was when I was getting in bed a few months ago. I took my socks off and threw them across the bed, he reached up and caught them. It surprised me because he had been asleep for a while and it was dark, I don't know how he did it. After a second of me laughing he asked "did I just catch this?" He hardly remembered anything the next morning.

The last few days!

We went up to our friends cabin last night and played in the mountains. Anna had a really good time throwing rocks in the river and playing on the teter totter with Lilly. We had a great time watching the kids and catching up.

This was a fun teter totter, it went up and down, but it also went around in circles. We had a great time on it.

Anna's hair is finally long enough that I can pull it up into a little pony tail on the top of her head. This is her 2nd pony tail.

Anna will ride on the cart any way possible, as long as it's not where she is suppose to ride in it. Luckily for her, Grandpa let's her do what she wants. I guess that is why he is her favorite.

I had to post this picture too because I am SO excited about it. Our new thermostat came with the central air that was put in this morning. Our swamp cooler had some minor issues and Shaun didn't want to spend the time fixing it since we were getting the central air. It has been a HOT week without either one, but now it's nice and cool!

St. George trip with the girls!!

Myself, Anna, Jen & Madelyn enjoyed a week in St. George with just the girls. Relaxing? Not so much. Next time we do a girls trip, it will definitely be a big girls trip, leave the cute kids with dad. We left at 8:30 Memorial Day night so the kids could sleep on the way down. Anna finally fell asleep in Cedar City, good plan.

Tuesday morning we met up with Marissa, Josh and their 2 kids to go boating. We had a great time playing on the tube and soaking up the sun. All the kids fell asleep and gave the moms a little break in the afternoon...not Anna! She was all over the place. We will be lucky if we are invited to go boating with Marissa again.

The next few days, Jen & I and the girls had fun swimming, shopping, finding new splash pads and parks to keep the girls happy. When Friday came we were ready to leave and come home to dad. Here are a few pictures of our St. George week.
